Boxer Amir Khan reaches Islamabad


ISLAMABAD: British-born Pakistani boxer Amir Khan reached Islamabad Monday, Geo News reported.

Speaking to Geo News at Benazir Bhutto Airport, Khan said that Pakistan has amazing talent in boxing that needs training and opportunities to yield results. He said that Benazir Bhutto International Boxing Championship would prove to be a milestone for Pakistan boxing future.

Khan told that he has already filed a case in International Boxing Federation against the controversial decision in his last light-welterweight title fight with Lamont Peterson. The decision of the case is due next year.

Talking about his brother, Khan told that Haroon Khan is working hard to qualify for the Olympics.

Besides Khan’s relatives and fans, President Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) Doda Khan Bhutto and Secretary General Akram Khan were also present at the airport to receive the young boxing icon.

During his stay in Pakistan, Khan will visit his ancestral house and meet friends and relatives in Lahore.
